Quick summary: what makes goals stick
Goals that actually get achieved tend to be specific, measurable, and time-bound (the SMART goal framework), rather than vague wishes. The techniques in this article still hold up for sticking with a goal longer.
At the beginning of the year, many people are about to set new goals for themselves. It is probably inspiring and encouraging to succeed. But many times that intention fails miserably. That may be because The set goal is far beyond

In this issue, Prapha had the opportunity to talk with Teacher Ngo Rosukon Kongket, an experienced teacher. We received the following advice:
“...We took the dream and told the person who said it to us. You can't do it. These people are called 'Dream aphids'. We will not tell the dream aphids. We should tell the 'dream fertilizer' who has spoken and is ready to support us. Surround yourself with people who tend to do the same…”
Rules SVM
If you are with someone who tends to have attitude Have a commitment in a similar direction or have the same way of thinking. It will surely be a part of helping drive our goals towards success. which is the main goal of Teacher Ngo It's called the “Rule. SVM”
S • Setting goals to be S.M.A.R.T. Goal

- S • Specific must set specific goals, not postponed, for example, in the new year you must have a better life than before. Must clearly specify that What area of life do you want to improve?
- M • MeasurableThe results must be measurable, such as intending to lose weight. must change to This year, I want to lose 5 kilograms, etc.
- A • Attainable It must be truly achievable within the allotted time period. Look, there are possibilities. For example, if you aim to run a marathon next week. But we haven't started practicing running yet. It's difficult.
- R • Relevant It must be related to ourselves, for example, if we want our children to do well in school and be good people. We must aim that I will be a mother who can support and understand my child.
- T • Time – bound There must be a clearly defined period. When do you want our goal to be completed?
V • Value Value
Setting goals or things that cause most people to not succeed. It is often not attached to important values in life. For example, many people want to lose weight because they want to be beautiful. Want to be thin like a star? But when you see the food you like in front of you, you will have the thought: I'm not a star I want to eat the food in front of me or I want to have my dream house because it's beautiful. But when I come home tired from work, I feel like it's okay. We stay the same, there's no harm. This is the problem with setting goals.
But if we ‘Set goals by attaching them to the values of life’ For example, I want to lose weight in order to have good health and be with my children for a long time. I will buy a house to make the people I love live in a good and happy environment. It will make it easier for us to achieve our goals.
“...We have to ask ourselves what is the main goal of life and then try to see if the Goal that we have set will be able to meet our goal or not. By checking method Keep asking yourself: What did we do it for? Lose weight for what? Why do you want to be beautiful? Keep asking until we are sure if that's what we really want or not..."
M • Massive Action Goal Setting
Setting goals using the 80 - 20 rule by choosing things that do less but get more. We can do only 20 but get to 80. We must study and learn otherwise it may not be successful as expected. For example, if we want to lose weight by using exercise, that means doing a lot but getting less. Because exercise only affects weight by 30%, if you continue to eat the same way, you will become a healthy person. But the goal of losing weight didn't work.

Rules AB2C
We must set goals by studying and learning. and set it within the rules of possibility Another rule of setting goals that helps us succeed. Teacher Ngo also recommends‘AB2C Rules’ as follows:
- A • Adjustable Adjustable, flexible, if the first plan fails. Must be able to adjust new plans to achieve goals
- B • Baby Step Take small steps at a time. To get our minds used to the word success, for example, if you aim to go to bed earlier than midnight, adjust it gradually to 2 days a week first.
- C • Commit Making a promise to yourself. You should find a picture of what you want to succeed and put it in the room. And tell the people who are ready to support us. You should not tell this to people who like to oppose or disagree. You should surround yourself with people who have the same tendencies as you
- C • Celebrate Celebration. Give yourself a reward, such as keeping your favorite watch to wear on the day you succeed. The word success may not mean achieving the goal. But by keeping discipline, you can celebrate yourself
However. Of course, on the way to achieving the goal There is still a “rogue mind” that is like an obstacle that blocks our goals, such as exercising a lot in the morning. In the evening you can eat a lot. This is the cheating mind that hides behind success.
When do we think we have done well? Maintain discipline regularly We will have a cheating mind hidden under a good heart

if we maintain discipline. Or if you are able to reach your goal, tell yourself that you have done well and will continue to improve. Order your mind so that the rogue mind will not threaten you.
Summary
Knowing this, let's try to set goals. Using SVM and AB2C targeting so that our goals don't drift. But let's be a truly successful goal. Happy New Year
